Product Overview
A cordless vacuum starts to feel old the moment the pack stops holding its charge. This is the part that puts the machine back: a lithium-ion vacuum battery replacement for Dyson V7 and SV11 stick vacuums, shaped to sit in the same housing, work with the same wall dock and drive the same cleaner heads you already own. There is enough reserve to take a whole flat and the stairs in one pass instead of splitting the job across two charging sessions, and the power is delivered evenly as the charge falls away, so the last room gets the same pull as the first rather than softening after a few minutes. Two pre-filters come in the box as well, because a fresh pack behind a clogged filter never delivers what it should. Everything downstream of the battery stays as it is — wand, floor head, crevice tool, wall bracket, charger. The new pack clips into the handle and the vacuum is ready for the next job. Send it round carpets and hard floors, stairs, car footwells, mattresses and upholstery, and it is just as at home in a household where a dog or a cat keeps the filter busy. If you have been putting off a full clean because the vacuum dies half way round, this is the part that fixes it. - A deep reserve of runtime. A high-capacity 6000mAh vacuum battery means the whole flat, the stairs and the car no longer have to be squeezed into one short window before the machine fades. - Steady suction as the charge drops. Output holds up through the run rather than tailing off, so the bedroom at the end of the clean gets the same treatment as the hallway at the start. - A protection board inside the casing. Over-charging, over-current, overheating and short-circuit protection all sit in the pack, cutting the circuit before a fault turns into damage. - Anti-leak construction. The cells stay sealed and stable between cleans, whether the vacuum hangs on the dock or the pack waits in a cupboard. - Charge level you can read on the pack itself. A level indicator and control button sit on the housing, so you can see where the charge stands without lifting the vacuum onto the dock to check. - Two pre-filters included. Filtration is refreshed in the same job as the Dyson V7 replacement battery, which is the only way the machine gets its airflow and its power back together.
Battery Safety & Protection
What the protection board does
Inside the casing of this 6000mAh vacuum battery sits a protection board that watches the pack while it charges and while it discharges. It is the reason the battery can hang on a powered wall dock between cleans without being babysat. Over-charging protection stops the current once the cells are full, so a dock left switched on does not keep pushing energy into a finished pack. Over-current protection caps what the pack will deliver when the motor loads up on thick carpet. Overheating protection tracks cell temperature through long runs on maximum power and breaks the circuit before heat becomes a risk. Short-circuit protection isolates the pack if a terminal is accidentally bridged.
Why the anti-leak design matters
A Dyson V7 replacement battery can sit on a bracket for weeks between deep cleans. The sealed construction keeps the cells protected from damp garages, cold utility rooms and the temperature swings that come with storing a vacuum near an outside wall. That stability is a quiet benefit: you hang the vacuum up and forget about it until the next job.
Charging it sensibly
Use the Dyson charger and dock that came with your vacuum. This cordless stick vacuum battery is designed around that charging profile, and keeping to it is the simplest way to let the protections work as intended. If the pack feels warm after a long session on maximum power, give it a few minutes to cool before docking — ordinary practice with any cordless tool.
Pre-Filters & Filtration
Filters and batteries tend to fail together. A pre-filter packed with fine dust restricts airflow, the motor works harder to pull air through, and the vacuum feels weak even with a fresh pack behind it — which is why this Dyson V7 battery with pre-filters ships as one kit, two filters in the box rather than an afterthought. The pre-filters are built to trap floating dust, pet dander and pollen, and they filter 99.97% of dust particles so fine grit stays in the filter instead of being blown back into the room as secondary pollution. That last point is what allergy sufferers notice first: it is not only what the vacuum picks up that matters, it is what it stops putting back into the air. Two of them mean rotation. Fit one, keep the other clean and dry as a spare, and the vacuum is never sitting idle waiting for a filter to dry. The pre-filters go into the standard housing on the V7 and SV11 machines, exactly where the old one came out, with no adapters or trimming. A damp filter is worse than a dusty one, because moisture carries dust straight into the motor. Replace the filter at the same time as the battery and the machine is refreshed in a single job: new cells, clear airflow, full suction.

Everyday Cleaning Scenarios
- Homes with a dog or a cat. Hair on carpet, sofa arms and the boot of the car is the heaviest load a stick vacuum sees; the Dyson V7 replacement battery keeps suction up long enough to finish the room rather than fading over the last corner.
- Allergy season. With a clean pre-filter fitted, dander and pollen are held in the filter instead of being pushed back into the air, which matters most in the room where you sleep.
- Stairs and landings. The place where a corded vacuum is most awkward is exactly where a cordless stick vacuum battery earns its keep, and a pack that lasts the whole staircase is the difference between finishing and recharging.
- Car footwells and seats. The V7 Car+Boat head reaches into footwells and between seat rails; a full 6000mAh vacuum battery gets the interior done in one trip out to the drive.
- Mattresses and upholstery. The V7 Mattress head is made for this job, and steady suction across a whole mattress is where an even power curve shows up.
- Hard floors and kitchen crumbs. Quick daily tidy-ups after meals, when a big clean is not worth starting but the floor still needs doing.
- The weekend whole-flat clean. One charge from top to bottom, including the bits nobody enjoys — skirting boards, under the bed, behind the sofa.

Installation & Care
- Take the vacuum off the wall dock and switch it off before you start.
- Press the release button on the handle to detach the old pack from the housing.
- Slide the new pack into the handle until it seats and the release button clicks back out. It should sit flush, with no gap at the joint.
- Give it a full charge before the first proper clean. Either hang the vacuum on its wall dock or run the charging cable directly into the charging port on the pack.
- Fit one of the two pre-filters into the housing, pressing it down evenly so the seal sits flat.
- Keep the second pre-filter clean and dry as your spare, so a wash day never leaves you without filtration.
- Rinse the pre-filter in use regularly, let it dry completely, then refit it. Swap the spare in while the other dries.
- Store the vacuum in normal room conditions. A damp garage or a spot next to a radiator is hard on any lithium pack over time.

FAQ
Which Dyson vacuum models will this battery fit?
This Dyson SV11 battery also fits the entire V7 range — V7 Motorhead, Fluffy, Animal Pro+, Trigger, HEPA, Car+Boat, Absolute, Mattress and Allergy — alongside the SV11 machines. If your vacuum is a V6, V8, V10 or V11, it needs its own pack — these housings and fittings are not interchangeable.
Can I use it in a V8, V10 or V6 instead?
No. Those models use a different pack shape and a different connection to the handle, so this battery will not seat or run in them. Check the model plate on the vacuum body or the label on your old pack before ordering; if you are unsure, send us a photo of the label and we will confirm.
What safety protections does the pack have?
Over-charging protection, over-current protection, overheating protection, short-circuit protection and an anti-leak design. They are handled by a protection board inside the casing, so the pack stops the current on its own rather than relying on you to catch it.
What is included with the battery?
Inside the box you get one replacement battery pack for the Dyson V7 and SV11 range, plus two pre-filters, each bagged separately so the filter media stays clean until you need it.
The pack is the only electrical part in the box. There is no charger, no wall dock and no cleaner head, because the point of this part is to reuse everything you already own — the charger you have, the dock the vacuum hangs on and every tool in the cupboard stay exactly as they are. Fitting is a clip-in job at the handle; nothing needs soldering or rewiring.
Two filters rather than one is a practical decision. A washed filter has to dry out completely before it goes back in, and the vacuum cannot run while it does, so the spare keeps the machine usable in the meantime. Both are the same size and seat the same way.
Before you fit the pack, look over the casing and the terminal contacts for anything that shifted in transit, and press the charge-level button to see where it stands. Lithium packs may arrive part-charged rather than full for transport reasons, so put it on your dock and let it come up to full before you judge runtime on a long clean.
Keep the unused filter somewhere dry and dust-free — a sealed bag or a drawer rather than a shed or garage — and it will be ready when the working one goes in for a wash. Filters are a consumable, so treat them as a set you top up over time rather than a one-off.
If anything is missing or looks damaged when the box arrives, contact support with your order details before the first use, so the problem is recorded while the packing is still fresh.
Are the materials certified?
Yes. The pack carries GRS, CE, FCC and RoHS certification, and each one answers a different question a buyer might have.
CE is the marking that allows the pack to be sold in the EU and EEA and covers its electrical safety as a product — the cells, the protection board and the charging path. FCC is the US counterpart for electromagnetic behaviour: it confirms the pack does not put out interference that would upset nearby electronics, and that it tolerates interference from them.
RoHS is the materials restriction. It limits lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and certain brominated flame retardants in electrical products, which is the part that matters in a household with small children or when you are buying against a company purchasing policy.
GRS — the Global Recycled Standard — speaks to recycled content, verifying both how much recycled material goes into a product and the chain of custody behind it. If you have to report recycled content to a customer or in a tender, ask for the GRS documentation before ordering so it can be checked against your own requirements.
Two points are worth being clear about. The certifications apply to the pack as supplied, so opening the casing, changing the cells or charging from something other than a proper Dyson charger takes it outside the conditions it was tested under. And they cover this battery, not the vacuum it goes into.
If you need copies of the declarations for a resale file, a customs query or a compliance pack, say so when you order and the paperwork can be arranged with the goods.
What warranty covers this battery?
This pack comes with two layers of cover: a 12-month product quality service and a 2-year product warranty, backed by online support that runs around the clock.
The 12-month service is the hands-on layer. It is the window in which fitting questions, charging questions and anything that looks wrong with the pack are dealt with directly — how the pack should seat in the handle, which charger and dock to use, how the level indicator behaves on a first full charge. The 2-year product warranty sits behind it and runs longer, covering the pack itself against product faults. If something goes wrong, ask support which of the two applies rather than assuming, because the answer depends on what has happened.
Support is not only for failures. The most common questions on a replacement pack are about seating it fully in the housing and about the first charge, and those are worth asking early rather than living with a machine that feels underwhelming.
Keep your order confirmation somewhere you can find it. When you get in touch, have the order number, the model name printed on your vacuum, a photo of the label on the pack and a short description of what it is doing — usually enough to work out whether it is a fitting issue, a charging issue or a faulty pack.
A few situations are normally handled differently from a product fault: accidental damage, water getting into the housing, and a pack that has been opened or had its cells changed. If you are unsure where your case falls, ask before sending anything back. The pre-filters are a wear item, so confirm with support how they are treated under the same terms.
If you are buying several packs to resell, check before ordering how the warranty is handled for your own customers and whether cover follows the pack or the original order — it is much easier to set that up at the start than to unpick it later.
Will it still handle pet hair and fine dust?
Yes. Paired with a clean pre-filter, it lifts pet hair, crumbs and fine dust from carpet and hard floors, and the filter holds 99.97% of dust particles so they are not blown back into the room.
Can I keep using my existing dock and charger?
Yes. Charge it on the same wall-mounted dock or run the cable straight into the charging port on the pack — both work. Give it a full charge before the first clean, and stick to the Dyson charger the vacuum came with.
